Hello
We have decided we have found our soulmates in each other and we are now happy to announce that we will celebrate our wedding together and hopefully in your company.
We have decided we have found our soulmates in each other and we are now happy to announce that we will celebrate our wedding together and hopefully in your company.
1pm to 1.45 pm
Guests arrive at Ardington House and will have some time with which they can familiarise themselves with the layout of this beautiful house and grounds.
Parking is available to the right of the drive upon arrival (see location map). It is possible, though, for guests to alight directly outside of the main house entrance with your driver then returning to parking area. The Main hall should be open for people to find their seats at about 1.30pm. Please note that seating available is less than the guests coming! (We guess we must be more popular than we thought) There will be standing room at the back and it is a short ceremony.
Dress Code
Please bear in mind the time of year in deciding what to wear and we certainly do not expect to see any Top Hats or Tails and we do not even expect the gentlemen to wear a tie if they would feel more comfortable without. No Football shirts and trainers. As it is Midsummer’s day druids will be admitted in their formal attire.
Ladies..It is not Royal Ascot, however, we do know some like to make a special effort to look fantastic but the most important thing is perhaps that you feel great and that you are comfortable.
The Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony will start at 2pm sharp in the Main Hall inside the house entrance.
Seating will be in the main hall and guests are invited to sit wherever they please with the exception of the front two rows, which are reserved for immediate family. There is no “Bride” or “Groom” side.
We would appreciate it if you could refrain from taking photographs during the ceremony.
After the Ceremony
There will be ample opportunity to take photographs. Refreshments will be served in the main hall and in the gardens, depending upon weather.
Catering is a finger type buffet with refreshments which will be served after the ceremony along with champagne. The beautiful grounds are there for you to explore. We will be vacating Ardington house at about 5pm to ready ourselves for our first adventure as man and wife!
